Stanley Bernard Vedol, of Vacherie, La. on Tuesday December 5, 2017 entered into eternal rest. Son of the late Vincent and Berella Lewis Vedol. Husband of Charlene Thomas Vedol. Father of Jacque and Jazz Vedol of Vacherie, La. Guardian of Tanishia Benn of LaPlace, La. Charles (Chucky) (Shemariya) McLain of Minneapolis, Mn. Brandon (Garilyn) McLain of Paulina, La. Brother of Betty Jean Allen of Marrero, La. Lois Vedol of Vacherie, La. Linda (Larry) Melancon of Vacherie, La. Survived by seven grandchildren including the apple of his eye, Harmony (LouLou) Vedol, five great grandchildren, three God children Shannon V. Jackson, Andrea Lucas, Jacolby Lightell. Brother in law of Joseph (Gwendolyn) Thomas Jr. of New Orleans, La. Hilton Marie Selby of Jacksonville, Fl. and Veranise Brown of Highland, Texas. Preceded in death by siblings Brenda Vedol Jasmin, Sharline Vedol Bright, Claudia Jean Vedol Harry, Carternell Vedol Nash, Van Vincent Vedol. Mother and father in law Charles (Mary Ann) Clayton Jr. Brother in law Joseph Breaux. Stanley was a 1971 graduate of Magnolia High School. He was employed by St. James Parish as a ferry attendant, also worked for 31 years as a custodian, warehouse clerk and bus driver with St. James Parish School Board. Stanley left a legacy with his infectious smile a hearty laugh and courteous service to all who he came in contact with. He loved cooking all meals but to name a few Gumbo, Red Beans, and Wild Life. He loved his St. James High School Wildcats and a diehard Baltimore Ravens Fan. A funeral celebration will be held on Saturday December 16, 2017 at 11:00am from the New Zion Christian Center 216 W. Main St. Gramercy, La. Rev. Emile Dean Mitchell Pastor, Rev Wesley Brown officiating. Interment Highway B.C. Cemetery, Vacherie, La. Visitation at the church after 9:00am on Saturday.
