LeDene Bowie
LeDene Robertson Bowie, a resident of LaPlace, LA, departed this life on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Ochsner Medical Center, Jefferson Hwy. LeDene began her earthly life on January 15, 1965 as the third child of Ethel and Harry Robertson, Jr. She accepted Christ at an early age of 12 and was baptized by the late Alfred Johnson at Pilgrim Baptist Church. She was a graduate of East St. John High School. She spent many years as a housekeeper at various hotels, until she decided to take computer classes at New Wine Christian Fellowship, under the instruction of Jodie Scioneaux. From there she filled the position at Cargill, Inc. as an administrative assistant where she worked for the last nineteen years. LeDene was a devoted member of New Wine Christian Fellowship where she rarely missed Sunday services and enjoyed gatherings such as women’s retreat and women’s meetings. She enjoyed relaxing, going out to eat with her husband, watching movies and game nights with her grandkids. She loved seafood and gathering with family and friends for good times, lots of laughter, picture taking and love. She was a big New Orleans Saints fan and enjoyed shopping. She had a desire to give and bless others. Her favorite holiday was Christmas as she looked forward to spoiling everyone she loved and touched.
