Cameron Jon-Patrick Stewart, age 30 of St. James, La. passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019. Cameron was born on December 23, 1988 in Thibodaux, La. to John and Betty Stewart. Cameron was a United States Army Ranger. His smile was infectious and his laugh could brighten your darkest days. Cameron loved and cherished his dog, Aries. He was a loving son, a great little brother, uncle and brother-in-law.
His entire family in Louisiana and Savannah, Georgia will certainly miss him. He leaves to cherish loving memories to his mother Betty Heary Stewart; sister Danna (Wade) Joseph of Shreveport, LA.; nephews Wade Jr. and Devonte Joseph; a very loving and devoted friend, Jill Bisberg; the Army Rangers 175 Battalion and a host of family and friends.
Cameron is preceded in death by his father, John (Duke) Stewart Jr.; maternal grandparents Alice and Louis Heary Sr.; paternal grandparents, Floyd and Eunice Alexander; Godparents, Barbara and Lawrence Poche Jr. and a very special uncle, Michael Alexander.
Cameron loved his fast 350Z, weightlifting, bodybuilding, and martial arts. His favorite foods were sushi, Chinese fried rice, lobster, steak, and burritos.
He served in the Army with distinction, including four tours to Afghanistan. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Army never left him, as friends and family will attest. He will always be remembered for his dedication and bravery.
The congregation of St. James Catholic Church, all neighboring churches, St. James Parish School System, Ascension Parish School System, Rangers 175 Battalion, Friends, Co-Workers and his Savannah Georgia, Family are welcomed to the Home going Celebration on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019 at St. James Catholic Church, 6613 LA-18, St. James, LA at 11:00 AM.
