Obituary for Marie Juanita Varnado

Marie Juanita Varnado departed this life on Monday, June 3, 2019 at the age of 77. She was born to the late Myrtice Verret on August 6, 1941.
Marie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and a devoted member of the St. Bonaventure Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and Captain of the CYO before her health prevented her participation.
Marie worked for 30 years as a Surgical Tech at Ochsner Health System and was an active member of the local chapter of the Association of Surgical Technologist.
Marie leaves to cherish her memory one brother; Roy Verret, three daughters; Rose Hunter (Terry), Jacquelyn Varnado Robinson (Larry), Angel Manzanares (Brian), three sons; Michael Washington, Rudoph Varnado (Diane), Antonio Varnado (Jennifer); her devoted grandchildren Deshaun Washington (Ann Marie), Rachel Jefferson-Moore (Jermaine), Carla Washington, Amy Washington, Larianna Varnado, Terrell Varnado, Julian Varnado, Kirsten Jeanfreau Varnado, Annastasia Varnado, Gayle Varnado, Alice Varnado, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
