Albert "Al June" Batiste, Jr. was born on August 13, 1965 in Thibodaux, LA to the union of Willomease Batiste Gordon and Albert Batiste, Sr. He cultivated a love for God at an early age, accepting Him as his Lord and Savior, being baptized by the late Pastor Wilkerson Grant at the Woodville Baptist Church. He later joined the First Baptist Church of Vacherie under the leadership of Pastor Lucien R. Garrett. Al June collaborated on the album, "I know the Lord will make a way!" with Pastor Garratt. He was often found testifying about the goodness of God. Al June was educated in the St. John School System. He attended Green Elementary in New Orleans, La, he graduated from West St. John High School in May, 1983, where he played football and was a member of the marching band. Al June went on to further his education by attending Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. During his tenure at Southern University, he was a member of the band, "The Human Juke Box" under the leadership of the late Dr. Isaac Greggs. Al June followed his dreams to become a truck driver, attending USA Training Academy in Pensacola, Florida where he received his diploma. On Tuesday, May 22, 2018, God the Master mind decided his child needed rest and called him home. He also leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving devoted mother Willomease H. Batiste Gordon and his loving father Albert Batiste, Sr., his loving devoted fiance Florence Dumas, devoted brothers: Pastor Cory Batiste and Kieron Batiste, siblings: Regina Crawford, Atasha (Chad) Jones, Renric Batiste, Alisha Batiste, Trenessa (Chad) Smith and Tressa Batiste, aunts: Laverne (Landry) Dennis and Florestine Batiste Kent, uncles: Rev. Robert, Jr. (Beverly), Lionel (Nancy), Rev. Nathaniel, Peter (Mary) and Warren Batiste, his godchild Roland T. Dumas and God-Mother Janice Freeman, God-Father Daniel Bethancourt, cousin Leonard Dixon, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives, friends and The Beech Grove Baptist Church Family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Marguerite Jackson Holland, maternal grandfather Eurin Holland, Sr., paternal grandmother Mary Stewart Batiste, paternal grandfather Rev. Robert Batiste, Sr., aunts: Odessa Batiste Nathan, Mary (Percy) Givens, Marguerite Bethancourt, Algar Harris, Olga Holland: uncles: Rev. Herman and Earl Batiste, Rev. Eurin Holland, Jr., Rev. Leroy Holland, Ernest and Wilbert Holland. A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 for 12:00pm from First Community Antioch Baptist Church, 10860 Highway 3125 Lutcher, LA 70071. Rev.
