"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you your rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your seals. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." He worked as a welder for over 30 years at Avondale Shipyard (Northrup Grumman) until he retired. \n\nDuring his retirement days, Buck enjoyed fishing, working in his yard, watering and tending to his plants, listening to smooth Jazz and R&B music with the windows down on his truck, sitting on the patio, cooking for his family, and watching sports, of course any team BUT the Saints.\n\nThe love of Jesus gently delivered him from all sickness and took him home where there shall be no more pain nor suffering.\n\nAlbert leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Olivia Jackson; children, Meltrika Raymond and Quad Howard; grandson, Kadience Lumar; siblings, Marie (George) Green and Bienville Jackson, Jr.; mother-in-law, Oneda Morton; father-in-law, Wilfred Washington; sisters-in-law, Alicia Washington and Tasha (Chris) Sanders; brothers-in-law, Terry (trainett) and Brandon (Tomonica) Griffin; Godchildren, Antoine Jackson, Jr., LaDonica Gordon, KeiOsha Southerland, and Logan Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loved ones, and friends.\n\nA public walk-through visitation will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Treasures of Life's temporary location, 22131 Hwy. 20, Vacherie, LA 70090 (The Diamond Center/Keller Properties) from 4pm-6pm.\n\nA celebration of life honoring Albert "Buck" Jackson will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Beech Grove Baptist Church, 117 Beech Grove Drive, Reserve, LA 70084 at 10am.
