Alfreda Marie Young

Alfreda Marie 'Mon' Young, born December 22,1956 in Vacherie, La. to Sedious Octave and Willis Young Jr. age 61, passed away to a land that is free from illness, sorrow, and pain peacefully at her home Friday, June 1,2018 surrounded by her loving family. Alfreda enjoyed life to the fullest. She enjoyed cooking and sharing her meals with anyone who would ask for something to eat. She would tell you what was on her mind, and turn around and ask if you need something. Her memories will forever be cherished by her son Jerome, her mother Sedious Octave, her father Willis Young Jr., godchild Reydaishune Weber, aunt Claudette Octave, devoted caregivers Melissa and Shyla Zeno, devoted friends; Karen Mckinney, Raynell, Patricia Moses, Vanessa James, Marie Joseph and Lacey Borne. A host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Beatrice Octave, Willis and Ismay Young Sr., great grandmother Olivia Octave. Aunts Stazzie Weber, Mildred Zeno, Idelma Roussell, Ella Mae Harrison, uncles Ronald Octave Sr., and Hilton Young. A mass of christian burial will be held on Friday June 8,2018 at 11:00am from St. Philip Catholic Church 1175-La.18 Vacherie, La. 70090. Father Vincent Dufrense, celebrant. Visitation at the church after 9:00am, recitation of the rosary 9:30am , Interment church cemetery . There will be a gathering of friends on Thursday June 7, 2018 at Treasures of Life Funeral Services 315 E Airline Hwy. Gramercy, La. from 5-7 pm.
