Altia Mary "At(Ot)" Lee (Joseph) Obituary (1939 - 2022)

Altia Joseph Lee was born September 13, 1939, in St. James, Louisiana, to the late Gertrude and James Joseph Sr. Altia was a long-standing member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church in Marrero, Louisiana. She was a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Inc Court #36, Knight of Columbus 9384 Ladies Auxiliary, a Servite Secular Order of Mary member and a member of Good Shepherd Ministry. She loved to watch her game shows and news, and would be that ear to listen whenever anyone needed her. We could go on and on about Altia J Lee but to shorten things up if you were lucky enough to know her, you could not help but to love her. Those who knew Altia, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. With deepest sorrow, we announce that Altia, age 82, our most beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, family member and friend, departed this life on Saturday, August 20, 2022 whilst at home with her son and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude and James Joseph, Sr.; brothers, James "Bunny" Joseph, Jr. and Irvin Anthony Joseph; daughter, Johanna Kathleen Lee; and great-grandson, Tristan Lampton. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Guy "Boo" Lee; daughter-in-law, Darlene Lee; grandchildren, Leonard Lee (Nekita), Guy Lampton, Amber Lee Antione (Paul), Devanney Lee Dumas (Walter), Guyia Lee, and Guylynn Lee; great-grandchildren, Anisha Parker, Neileon Lee, Brayden Neal, Daevon Lee, Jordan Lampton, Nala Lee, Aulani Lee, Nyree Lee, Auden Antione, Emiko Adah-Elara Dumas, and Aylan Antione; and a host of other family and friends whom she loved dearly. Altia will truly be missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 455 Ames Boulevard, Marrero, LA 70072. NO VIEWING, however, family will be accepting friends at 10:00 AM. Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:15 AM. Mass will begin at 11:00 AM.
