Alvin Donald Stewart

Alvin D. Stewart, affectionately known to many as "PINKY", passed away peacefully on Friday, March 18, 2016. As a lifelong resident of Vacherie, he would be seen many times bringing friends and relatives to their respective destinations as he enjoyed running personal favors since retiring from Avondale Shipyard for more than 20 years of service. He leaves to cherish his memories countless relatives whom he reared as his own. His parents, Sherman and Sarah Stewart, preceded him in death. Friends and relatives as well as neighboring communities are invited to attend the celebration of life service on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Highway Baptist Church, 1185 Magnolia Heights St., Vacherie, La 70090. Visitation begins at 9 A.M. followed by service at 11 A.M. Reverend Wesley Brown officiating. Interment First Baptist Church Cemetery.
