Ann Marie Landry

–

Saint James, Louisiana

With hearts full of love and solemn reflection, we celebrate the life of Ann Landry. Ann was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 3, 1951. She left us to be with the Lord on May 30, 2026. Known for her warm spirit and genuine kindness, Ann was a beacon of unwavering faith and quiet strength. She was a humble, empathetic, and compassionate soul whose dedication to her family, faith, and community left an indelible mark on all those fortunate to know her.

Ann was a dedicated and hardworking Dietary Clerk at St. Elizabeth Hospital, where she served for many years before her retirement in 2013. Her lifelong residence in Saint James, Louisiana, allowed her to form deep and enduring connections within her community. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as cooking, doing crossword puzzles, and watching her favorite shows, including In The Heat of the Night, Dallas, The Young and the Restless, and Walker Texas Ranger. Yet, what mattered most to Ann was her family and her faith in God. She poured her heart into the St. James Catholic Church Gospel Choir and the St. Jude Teaching Ministries, where her love for God and her faith grew tremendously.

Inspired by her favorite verse from the Bible, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God" (Matthew 5:8), Ann lived her life with purity of heart and a love for others that was truly inspiring.

Ann leaves to cherish in her precious memories a devoted son, Yaves Landry; two sisters, Paulette (Steven) Rosamond and Wanda Landry;
three brothers, Melvin (Lillian) Landry, Phillip Karl Landry, Christopher (Belinda) Landry; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Melvin Sr. and Sophia C.Landry, and her brother, Stephen Landry Sr.

As we remember and honor Ann's extraordinary life, we invite you to share your cherished memories of her and upload photos to the memorial page. May these shared moments serve as a comforting reminder of the love and joy Ann brought to our lives.
