Augusta "Pearl , Ma'mie" Clark (Grow) Obituary (1925 - 2023)

Augusta (Pearl) Grow Clark, a native of Vacherie, LA, was born on August 5, 1925, to the proud parents, Aurelian Grow Sr. and Augustine Mitchell Grow. She was known to everyone as Pearl but to her grandchildren, she was known, affectionately, as "Ma'mie". She was joined in holy union to Roy Clark Sr. She made New Orleans her home when she was 26 years old. On Tuesday, February 7, 2023, she was called to Glory to be with her loving father and mother, her beloved husband, Roy Clark Sr., her two daughters, Jean Jenkins and Vickie Taylor, and her son, Vince Clark, five brothers, and one sister. She leaves to mourn two daughters, Lucinda Ferdinand and Patricia (James) Dickerson, and her son, Roy Clark Jr., 16 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a public visitation Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 2-3 pm at Treasures of Life Funeral Services, 315 E. Airline Hwy., Gramercy, LA 70052. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Rita Catholic Church, 2729 Lowerline Street, New Orleans, LA 70125, celebrant by Father Patrick Carr. Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Mass will begin at 10:00 am. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 9:00 am. Interment will follow at St.Louis No.3 Cemetery, 3421 Esplanade Ave, New Orleans, LA 70119.
