BESSIE MAE JEFFERY (BECNEL) Obituary (1943 - 2016)

Bessie Mae "Nanny" Becnel Jeffery A native of Wallace, LA, and a resident of Destrehan, LA, Bessie entered into her eternal rest on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Ochsner Hospital, Jefferson, LA as a result of Aplastic Anemia. She was 72. She leaves to cherish her memory, two children, Roland Peter Jeffery Jr. and Kellie Jeffery Johnson; two grandchildren, Jade and Kylon Johnson, one great-grandson, Dallas Perrilloux, siblings, Yolanda Becnel Jasmin, Sonja B (Oliver Jr.) Winchester, Adele Becnel Coulter, Ellis Becnel, Michael Becnel, her godmother, Gloria Alexis Crayton of Los Angeles, CA., three godchildren, Kurt Becnel, Camille Zeno, and Lorenzo Edwards, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Agnelia and Albert Becnel, Jr., reared by her grandparents, the late Lucrecia and Albert Becnel, Sr. Wallace, LA., one sister, Janet Becnel, and two brothers, Kermit and Byron Becnel. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. Philip Catholic Church, employees of the St. John Parish School System, Occidental Chemical Corporation are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 28, 2016 for 11:00 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2349 Hwy. 18 Edgard, La. Father Rob Morgia, Celebrant. Interment St. Philip Catholic Church Cemetery, 1175 La-18, Vacherie, La. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M.
