Bonnie Marie "Chubbs" Grows (Smith) Obituary (1969 - 2022)

Bonnie Marie Smith-Grows entered eternal rest on March 26, 2022, at the age of 53. Bonnie was born on February 11, 1969, to Mildred Smith and the Late Alzeria Valentine Jr. Bonnie was a 1987 graduate of West St. John High and 1993 graduate of Grambling State University. She was employed by St. John the Baptist School Board, as a head start teacher. Bonnie leaves to cherish her memories her one and only loving and dedicated son, Trevor D'Anthony Smith; husband of 20 years, Kevin Grows; mother, Mildred Smith; mother-in-law, Clementine Grows; sister, Debra Marie Howard (Bernard); sister-in-law, Valerie Smith; brothers, Ricky Sr. and Glenn Sr. (Cindy); brother-in-law, Ray Benjamin; and a host of other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Alzeria Valentine Jr.; sister, Deyon Benjamin; brother, Byron Anthony Smith, Sr.; and nephew Byron Anthony Smith, Jr. A public walk-through visitation will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022, at Treasures of Life Funeral Services, 315 E. Airline Hwy., Gramercy, LA 70052 from 5pm-7pm. Funeral services for our beloved Bonnie Marie Smith- Grows will be held on Saturday April 2, 2022, at the Second African Baptist Church, 136 West 3rd Street, Edgard, LA 70049 at 1:00p.m. Viewing begins at 11 until start of service.
