Cedric Shorts

Cedric Lemont Shorts Sr. was born May 24, 1980 at Lakeside Hospital in Metairie, La to the late Rev. Ellis Shorts Jr. and Annie Jeannette Bradley Shorts. He was educated at St. Charles Borromeo School in Destrehan, La and St. Charles Catholic High School in Laplace, La. Cedric worked as a Truck Driver for many years.
Cedric was a member of Living Way Church in Laplace, La. He was baptized by Pastor Michael Day of Living Way Church.
Cedric Lemont Shorts Sr. was proceeded in death by parents Rev. Ellis Shorts Jr. and Annie Jeannette Bradley Shorts, one sister Renita Danette Shorts, and God-Mother Beverly Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his devoted Wife Paula Ollis Shorts, five sons Cedric Shorts Jr., Malachi Shorts, Javen Shorts, Trey Guthrie, and Jase Ollis; two brothers Min. Ellis (Ischia) Shorts III and Michael (Lynell) Joseph; one sister Debra Davis; two Uncles Elbert (Lois) Shorts Sr. and Cardell (Janett) Douglas; six aunts Orelia Victor, Audrey Shorts, Annie L. Cook, and Ruby Joyce Douglas. He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, relatives and friends. A funeral celebration will be held on Thursday March 7,2019 at 12:00 noon from the Living Way Church 810 Walnut St. Laplace, La. Pastor Michael Day officiating. Interment Jefferson Memorial Garden , St. Rose , La. Visitation at the church after 10:00am. Final care entrusted to Treasures of Life Funeral Services 315 E. Airline Hwy Gramercy, La.
