Clancy Ellis Becnel, a native and resident of Edgard, LA., entered his eternal rest on Friday, March 03, 2017. He leaves to cherish his memories a son, Ellis (Latasha Chopin) Becnel, four grandchildren, Jada, Ja'Nada, Ja'Lacia and Ja'Vea Becnel, one great grandson, Cayden Becnel; siblings, Yolanda Becnel, Jasmin Adele Becnel Coulter, Sonja (Oliver Jr.) Winchester and Michael Becnel along with a host of nieces, nephew, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Steib Becnel; parents Albert Jr. and Agnelia Becnel, two sisters; Janet Becnel and Bessie Becnel Jeffery, three brothers, Joseph, Kermit and Bryon Becnel. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St Philip Catholic Church, employees of St. John Parish School System, Occidental Chemical Corporation are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, March 9, 2017 for 11:00 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2349 Hwy. 18, Edgard, LA. Visitation begins at 9:00am until service time. Treasures of Life Center for Life Funeral Services have been entrusted with his final care.
