Clona Marie Edwards, affectionately known as "NaNa", went home to her Heavenly Father on July 25, 2021 at the age of 81. She was a native of Edgard, LA and lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. Clona was employed by Fitzhugh New Orleans. She was born on April 19, 1940 to the late Alice Barre' and the late Richard Edwards Sr, and reared by the late John Farnell Sr. \n\nClona attended St. John The Baptist Catholic Church during her childhood. During her adult years, she became a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, now Katharine Drexel of New Orleans, LA. Clona enjoyed cooking, bingo with her buddies, giving generously, and of course a Saints fanatic!\n\nClona was the mother of Patricia Allen (Thomas) of North Carolina, and Jerilyn Sims (Lawrence) of Laplace, LA; loving grandmother of Neal Songy Jr, and Trena' Songy of Louisiana, and John and Alicia Allen of North Carolina; great-grandmother of Ka'Lee, Amyre, Jayden, and Jazmyn Green, and Nori Songy; sister of Lisa Mae Alexander, (Late Ronald) of Marrero, LA, Gladys Perry (David) of Killona, LA, the late Janice (Arthur Campbell) Of Killona, LA, Lee Edwards (Kathy) of Baton Rouge, LA, and Richard Edwards Jr. (Lanette) of Marrero, LA, and loving aunt to her nieces and nephews. \n\nServices for Clona Marie Edwards will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021. Visitation period will be held at Treasures of Life Funeral Services, 315 E Airline Hwy., Gramercy, LA 70052 from 8am-9am. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2349 LA-18, Edgard, LA 70049. Entombment to follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery.
