Mitchell, Daisy Gros Dumas Mitchell of Vacherie, La. entered eternal life at the age of 76yrs. On Sunday October 29, 2017 at her residence. Beloved wife of Ridgely Mitchell Jr. Mother of Jonathan Dumas of Vacherie, La. Dawn (Charnell) Dumas and Sandra (Warren) Ingram. Grandmother of Zahilda, Jonalyn, DeVante, Benedict, Jalasica, great grandmother of Lovi, Laylyn, and Kayson . Sister of Rose (Teddy) Boudoin and Leboria Burrell. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, god children, sisters and brothers in law, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Naulest Sr. and Olyampe D. Gros. Siblings Ollie Narcisse, Edmond Gros Sr, Francois Gros, Olivia Morton, Naulest Gros Jr, Gladys Narcisse, Regina Steib, Nazie Gros, Raymond Gros Sr, and Alice Gros Stieb. Daisy was employed as a teacher for 33 years with St. John Parish School Board. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday November 3, 2017 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church 13281 La. 644 Vacherie, La. Father Matthew McCaughey celebrant.
