In Loving Memory of
Davonte “Dude” Isiah Borne
September 17, 2003 – October 21, 2026
A Life So Beautifully Lived, A Heart So Deeply Loved
Davonte Isiah Borne was born on September 17, 2003, at River Parish Hospital in LaPlace, Louisiana. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend whose vibrant spirit, charismatic personality, and unforgettable presence touched the lives of many. On October 21, 2026, Davonte peacefully transitioned at Ochsner Medical Center – Main Campus, leaving behind a lifetime of beautiful memories and a legacy of love that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew him.
Affectionately known as “Dude,” Davonte was truly one of a kind and undoubtedly the life of the party. His presence could light up a room, and his personality made him unforgettable. He had a natural gift for bringing people together, making others smile, and creating moments that would later become cherished memories. Whether he was making drinks, expressing his love for fashion, or twirling his batons, Davonte embraced life with his own unique flair and undeniable confidence.
Davonte was a young man with dreams, ambition, and a future he was excited to build. He graduated from West St. John High School in 2022 and continued his education at Southern University, where he studied business. In 2024, he obtained his phlebotomist certification and began working at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he remained employed until his health declined.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Davonte had an entrepreneurial spirit and a vision all his own. Just weeks before his transition, he was preparing to launch his very own virgin hair business, D’Luxeee. This business represented his creativity, passion for beauty and fashion, and determination to create something of his own. Although he did not get the opportunity to see this dream fully come to life, the vision he carried and the ambition behind it will forever remain a part of his story. His dreams were never small, and his potential was limitless.
Above all his accomplishments, Davonte was a son and brother whose love for his family was immeasurable. He leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever, laughter that will never be forgotten, and a space in his family’s hearts that no one else could ever fill. Though his time on earth was far too short, the love he gave and the lives he touched will continue to speak his name for generations to come.
Davonte leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving parents, Kenyon Weber and Devon Borne; his siblings, Aniya Shavers, Zai’Veon Borne, Da’Lahiya Borne, Deviyon Borne, and Kenjon Weber; his grandmothers, Gwendolyn Narcisse (Kenneth) and Stella Borne; his aunts, Traci Lumar-Hebert (Tariq), April Williams (Kendrick), Tiffany Borne, Naomi Borne, and Bethany Baker; his uncles, **Rayburn Roybskie (Tracy), Onterio Lumar, and Tremayne Baker, **; along with a host of extended family members, cousins, friends, and loved ones from near and far.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Vernon Anthony Roybskie Sr., and uncle, Kenneth “Babay Weber” whose memory remains a cherished part of the family’s story.
Though our hearts are broken by his absence, we find comfort in knowing that Davonte’s life was filled with love, purpose, laughter, and dreams. His transition reminds us that a life is not measured solely by the number of years lived, but by the love shared, the memories created, and the lives forever changed by one’s presence.
Davonte was more than a son, a brother, or a friend. He was “Dude”—a personality that could never be duplicated, a light that could never be replaced, and a love that death could never erase.
His earthly journey has ended, but his story will continue through every memory, every smile, every dream he inspired, and every heart that carries him forward.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our Dude.
“You may have left this world, but you will never leave our hearts. Your light will continue to shine through all of us who were blessed to know and love you.”
