Earnest Lee Bradley

Earnest Lee Bradley, affectionally known as "Poppa", was born August 26, 1957, in Sorrento, LA to the late Rosa Killiam and Sam Bradley. He departed his earthly life on Saturday, December 9, 2023.

Earnest accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. Thomas Boyd at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Earnest served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge. He was employed with Hymel's Farm for 31 years and St. John the Baptist for 7 years until his retirement.

Earnest was a die-hard Saints fan. He loved to watch the Saints on Sundays with his friends. He loved to smile, dance, cook and play his playstation. Earnest enjoyed making memories with his family and friends. He always told us he "LOVED" us on every phone call.

He married Barbara Howard Bradley on April 11, 1992, and from this union he leaves to cherish three daughters: Angela Bradley (Wallace, LA), Ernestine Bradley (Wallace, LA) and Sharda Bradley-Cola (Kyron Cola Sr.) of Convent, LA; six grandchildren: Alyjah Borne, Jayceon Young, E'Miray Fletcher, Kaiden Cola, Kaitlyn Cola and Kyron Cola Jr.; five sisters: Julia Hernandez (Gonzales, LA), Doretha Hill (Atlanta, GA) Shirley Bradley (Geismar, LA), Beverly Davis (Gonzales, LA), and Joyce Bradley (Geismar, LA); two sisters-in-law: Kay Ann Ross and April Howard (Michael) of Wallace, LA; two brothers-in-law: John Howard (Grail) and Bernard Howard (Debra) both of Wallace, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Earnest was preceded in death by his parents: Rosa Killiam, his biological father, Solomon Presley, and father, Sam Bradley; mother-in-law: Laura Howard; sisters-in-law: Tina Howard and Stephanie Howard; and brother-in-law: Bernard Ross Sr.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Treasures of Life Funeral Services, 315 East Airline Hwy., Gramercy, LA 70052 from 5PM-7PM.

A celebration of life honoring Earnest Lee Bradley will be held Friday, December 29, 2023, at New Hope International Family Worship Center, 21490 Hwy. 20, Vacherie, LA 70090. Visitation 8AM-10AM. Services will begin at 10AM. Apostle Claudette Aubert, officiant. Interment to follow at Willow Grove Cemetery in Wallace. Final care and professional services entrusted to Treasures of Life Funeral Services.
