Edward "June" Woodard Jr.
June 15, 1932- April 13, 2026

Edward was born into the union of the late Edward and Alberta Woodard. He received his high school diploma from Booker T. Washington high school; after graduating, June enlisted into the military under the branch of the U.S Army.

Edward returned home and married his love Augustine. Their union was blessed with 4 children.

Being that Edward lived a long life, many of his family and friends preceded him in death. His wife Augustine Woodard(2025) and three of his children, June Michele Woodard (2024), Edwin Boutte(2009) and Kendall Woodard (2005).

He leaves his legacy and memories to his daughter Trudy Woodard-Smith, his grandchildren Quinton, Giovanni, Alecia, Edwin, Lamar, Kianna, Casey, Tori and Toreaun. His great grandchildren, nieces nephews, great nieces great nephews and other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026 at Second Morning Star Baptist Church, 2616 St. Andrews Street, New Orleans, LA 70113; visitation from 9:00AM to 10:00AM followed by the service for 10:00AM. Interment Private Burial Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, LA.
