On Monday, November 26, 2018, Erma "Bossie" Roussell heard the voice of God say, "I'm the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he dies, yet he shall live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die."\nErma "Bossie" Roussell was born on November 30, 1933 to the late Willis Young, Sr. and the late Semonia Young. She was married to the late Camille Roussell, Sr. To this union 10 children were born; Debra Lumar, Judith (Samuel)Trench, Justine Edwards, Camille Jr., Patricia Roussell, Connie Alexis, Rod(Maxine)Roussell and the late Leonard, Kevin and Demetric Roussell.\nErma confessed her love and faith for God and was baptized by Rev. Vernon Alexander at Greater New St. Peter Baptist Church. She retired from St. John the Baptist Parish School System as a cafeteria worker. She enjoyed cooking for everyone in the community, going for walks with her hand behind her back and family gatherings. Erma leaves her memories with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, to cherish.\nFuneral services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from Greater New St. Peter Baptist Church, 200 W 3rd.
