Peterboy was born on March 3, 1948, to the union of the late William and Rosemary McGee Banks of Laplace, LA.\n\nHe was christened at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. He attended Our Lady of Grace School, until transferring to Fifth Ward High School.\n\nPeterboy married Audrey Williams, and their union was blessed with one son, the late Renaldian Eugene Banks. He mostly enjoyed being of service.\n\nYou see.....some will miss the Uber driver on the first, third, and fifth of the month, taking them to the store. Some will miss getting anything that broke in, on, or around the house fixed. Others will miss him being at the casino or playing cards. However, we will ALL miss his kind heart and loving spirit. his happy smile, and that "Bill Banks" look that said "No I'm not!"\n\nPeterboy also leaves precious memories with his devoted friends: Charles Lennix, Carl Michael Banks, who was also his cousin, Anthony Cambre, Alvin Bernard, and Warren Lee Watkins; his go to nephew: Richard (Mannie) Hardy; his loving family of Choice: Partia Lee and her children and grandchildren, especially Chakita (Bird) Lee who called him daddy and treated him accordingly; lastly, his caretaker, his voice, his ride or die, the love of his life, his niece: Yvette B. Perrilloux, whom he affectionately called "my heart".\n\nPeterboy was preceded in death by his parents: William "Bill" and Rosemary McGee Banks; grandparents: Emma Jeanne McGee Creecy and Eugene McGee, Alcide Creecy whom he was reared by, and Mahalia and Willie Banks; three brothers: Walter and William Chatman and Alexander Hardy Sr.; loving aunts and uncles: Harriet and Matthew Banks, Douglas Creecy, and Elbrae and Norman Alexander; and cousin: Tyrone Creecy Jr.\n\nAs much as we will all miss Peterboy, God's will had to be done. He will always be in both our hearts and prayers.\n\nSo....rest in peace my brother, until we meet again.\n\nWe would like to sincerely thank the staff of Tulane Medical Center's Cancer Unit and the staff of Compassus Hospice.
