Florence Vivian Mitchell

Florence V. Mitchell, age 62, passed on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Ochsner Hospital, Gretna, La. She was a native of Edgard, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. She leaves to cherish her memories: sisters - Shirley Bland, Leslie Jackson, Orelia Mitchell and Laura Pryer; brothers - Phillip Mitchell, Jr., Eric Mitchell, Sr., Sidney Mitchell, Sr. and Gilbert Mitchell, Sr.; two Goddaughters - Kiara Jackson and Michelle Ambeau. Preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Irene Roussell Mitchell; Grandparents Etienne and Florence Roussell and Sidney and Josephine Mitchell. She also leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Parishioners of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard, La. and St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Marrero, La., employees of Jefferson Parish School System, West Jefferson Hospital, The Hilton, Avondale Shipyard (former), Exxon, Chevron, Buddy's Restaurant, and LSERS are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 2349 Hwy.18 Edgard, La. Father Robustiano Morgia celebrant on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation begins at 9:00 a.m. Interment church cemetery. Treasures of Life Center for Life Funeral Services, 315 E.
