Frederick "Hector" Patterson, III

Frederick Patterson III was born on May 12, 1997, at River Parish hospital in Laplace La. He was the fourth child of Shelly V. Patterson and Frederick Patterson, Sr.

He accepted Christ at an early age, and was baptized at Greater Woodville Baptist Church by Rev. Alexander White.

He was a lifelong resident of Vacherie, La., and resided in Thibodaux, La. He was very good with his hands and knowledgeable of many gifts, boiling, rebuilding, repairing, fixing and working on cars. He was educated in St. James Parish public school system.

He was known to many as “Hector”. He had a loving spirit and a genuine heart , and would help anyone in need.

He was the father of, Brayson Patterson , Liam and Melanie Morris. Brother of Jenny Patterson and Diamond (Robert) Carter . Grandson of Isaiah (Myrna ) Patterson, Jr., and Shelton Valentine Sr. Nephew of Lisa Parham, Christine( Brian ) Green, Gwendolyn (Nick)Dumas, Belinda Valentine, Leslie Valentine, Linda (Anthony) Jospeh, Brenda (Samuel) Harris.

Fredrick leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Shelly Patterson; father, Frederick Patterson Sr.; siblings, Jenny Patterson and Diamond Carter; his children, Brayson Patterson, Liam and Melanie Morris; nephews, Gregory Holmes, A’Meir Williams, and niece, Myleyah Lester; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends; devoted friends, Bobby Milton, Eric Domino, Cap, Davonte Mathews, and Kelaun Sanders. Also, Godmother /Aunt Edwina Jackson and Godfather Elie Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine Patterson; brother, Frederick Patterson, Jr.; Grandmothers, Lorena Jasmin Valentine, Betty Ann Patterson; Great Grandmothers, Rosemary Murray and Ethel Mae Jones; Great Grandfathers, Isaiah Patterson, Sr. and Ozeme Mitchell, Sr.; uncle, Randolph Valentine, and cousins, Aaron Holmes, Ja’Naries Gaudia, and Zalon Carter.

Frederick's Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at New Hope International Family Worship Center located at 21490 Hwy 20, Vacherie, La 70090. Viewing from 9:00AM to 11:00AM followed by the service for 11:00AM. Interment Woodville Cemetery, Wallace, LA
