Deaconess Gale Smith Lewis, a retired Regional Transit Authority Driver and Vice President of the Mahalia Jackson Residual Family Corporation entered into eternal rest after her battle with cancer on Friday, October 16,2015 surrounded by her family and love ones. She was born September 6,1946 to the late Porterfield Smith and Carrie B. Smith. Beloved wife of the late Donald Ray Lewis, Sr. caring mother of Shonne Singleton of Dallas , Texas, Giselle Tapp, Alij R. Tapp III of Forth Worth, Tx. Lardez Tapp, Gailynn Tapp Kelson, Donald R. Lewis and Ravelynn Lewis Barnes. Mother in law of Retired Sgt. Michael Singleton Sr., Paul B. Wooden Sr. , Dionka Tapp, Edward Kelson, Anitra H. Lewis and Gilbert Barnes. Loving sister of Clara Turner, Cecile White, Porterfield Smith Jr., Kevin Smith, Anthony Day and Barbara Hammett of Las Vegas, Nevada. She leaves her treasured memories to 17 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a host of nieces , nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends Relatives and friends of the family , pastors, officers, and members of St. Mark Missionary B.C., First Pilgrim B.C. , Mt.
