A graduate of George Washington Carver High School and retired U.S. Army Sergeant of 20 plus years, proudly served as a Persian Gulf War veteran, Gregory was a true embodiment of strength and courage, traits that originated from his birthplace's vibrant spirit. He resided in LaPlace, Louisiana, where he carried forth his inherent New Orleans charm and resilience. Gregory's dedicated service to his country was not just an occupation, but a testament to his unwavering commitment to safeguarding the principles he held dear. He served with distinction and honor, leaving an indelible mark on those who served with him. After retiring from the military, Gregory worked at Orleans Parish Sheriff’s department & Westwego Police department where his legacy of public service continued. Beyond his military service, Gregory was a devoted father to his two children, Chu Jun Fryson and Gregory Fryson, Jr., who survive him. He was divorced but never let that diminish his love and commitment to his children. His life was marked by his deep sense of responsibility and affection towards his family.
