Guindella Ann Joseph Obituary (1953 - 2016)

Guindella "Gwen' 'Dello" A. Joseph, a retired St. John the Baptist school system employee, died Saturday, February 27, 2016 at The Crossing-Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge, LA. Gwen was 62 years old, a native of Wallace and resident of Vacherie, LA. She attended Southern University and was a loyal and dedicated West St. John High School Ram booster. She was a current member of The New Horizon Missionary Baptist Church, Vacherie, La., pastored by Nathaniel R. Rapp, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memories- two sons, Ivan and Jeremy(Rosetta)Scioneaux, her mother, Evelyn Chopin Bethancourt, seven siblings; Cynteia(Johnny)Jessie, Avis Pickens, Norman Bethancourt, Jr., Renette(Kerry) Lumar, Kelvin, Brian(Shannica), and Telly(NyKosha)Bethancourt; Four step-siblings, three sisters in law, three brothers in-law, two uncles, Felmond Bethancourt and Lester Chopin; a beloved and devoted granddaughter, Maiaja; one grandson, Ivan, Jr, step grandchildren; La'Anjana and LaQuan, and a host of relatives, acquaintances, and friends. A celebration of life will be held, Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Highway Baptist Church, 1185 Magnolia Heights, Vacherie, LA. Pastor Rev. Wesley Brown; officiating minister, Rev. Nathaniel Rapp, Sr. Visitation begins at 9:00am, followed by service time at 11:00AM. Interment Woodville Cemetery, Wallace, LA. There will be a gathering of family and friends at Treasures of Life-Center for Life Funeral Services, 315 E. Airline Hwy, Gramercy, LA. on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 6-8:00pm, who has been entrusted with her final care.
