HERMAN JOHN MITCHELL (MITCHELL) Obituary (1944 - 2016)

Son of the late Harold 'Benny' Mitchell, Sr. and Julia Ross Mitchell. Devoted friend and companion Gay Pittman. Survived by sisters Beatrice M. Williams, Melba Batiste, Rubenstein Clark, Myrtle Ann, Marvel Ann, Julia Lee Mitchell, and Angela M. Songy; brothers Rev. Harold Sr., Floyd, and Rev. Emil Dean Mitchell; sisters-in-law Emily, Brenda, Cynthia and Beatrice Mitchell; brothers-in-law Reginald Clark and Malcolm Songy; Godsons Howard 'Moe' Batiste and Brian Porter; 14 nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces/nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by one brother Morris Mitchell, brothers-in-law Abraham Williams, Jr. and Howard Batiste Sr., niece Pasha Gordon and nephews Julian Mitchell and Howard Batiste Jr. Relatives and friends of the family, employees of Motiva Enterprises Convent, members of King David, Israelite, King Triumph Baptist Church, and First Community Antioch Missionary Baptist Church are invited to attend his celebration of life on Thursday, June 30, 2016 for 11:00 at New Zion Christian Center, Rev.
