We are confident, yes, well pleased to know, to be absent from the body is to present with the Lord. II Corinthians 5:8
Isaac "Pete" Gant III entered this world on January 22,1962 to his parents, Isaac Gant Sr. and Gracie Bowser Gant. He was educated in the St. James Parish Public School System, and was self-employed as a truck driver for over 40 years.
Pete accepted Christ at an early age and later fell under the leadership of Pastor Emil D. Mitchell Sr. at New Zion Christian Center in Gramercy, LA where he served as a faithful member. Pete was a hard worker. He took pride in providing for his family. Pete enjoyed taking long rides with his wife and riding his motorbike. He was very neat, and everything had to be in order. He enjoyed washing his big truck and took pleasure in making sure his house was tidy (man he loved that mop and bucket).
Pete leaves memories to cherish with his daughter, LaJuanne (Kendell) King; sons, Isaac Gant IV (Jada Stockman) and Derell Gant (Iesha Triche); grandkids, Kenadi King, Laden Jones, Isaiah McGuffy, Zakia Brown and Jayden Payne; sisters, Madeline Belvin, Mary Ann Johnson (Frank), Juanita Magee (Earl), Deborah Cage and Tasheeka Gant; sisters-in-law, Cynthina Gant, Rainey Pete and LorraineI Porter; brothers-in-law Adrian and Kevin Love, and Henry Porter, and a host of other relatives.
