Jacquelyn "Jackie" Ferchaud-Levy of St. James, Louisiana was born, December 1, 1947. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 1, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at Our Lady of The Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge, LA. She was a graduate of Magnolia High School and Southern University and A & M College, Baton Rouge, LA. She had more than 20 years of service with St. James Parish Government, several years with Southern University's Comptroller's Office and retired from Angels Aftercare Solutions, Inc. \n\nJackie is survived by her husband of 50 years, Leo F. Levy, Jr.; their three children Leo F., III- (Felisha), Ashley Tremayne (Karmyn), Lan Levy-Jarvis (Ian), and adopted daughter Dr. Anya Hancock. Her siblings Alex J. Ferchaud, Sr. (Lois), Elaine F. Grant (Alfred, Jr.), Dr. Vanessa A. Ferchaud and Rodger "Lester" Ferchaud (Stephanie). Grandchildren: YatzMyne Levy, Ashton Levy, Eryn B. Levy, Aaron R. Levy, Aspen Levy, Alayna Ellis, Taylor Jarvis, Tyler Jarvis, Ashley T. Levy, II, Logan Jarvis and Kariel Jarvis. She is also survived by her Sisters-inLaw: Lydia Levy- Washington (Dixon) California, Louie Ann Levy-Hall (Stephen) Donaldsonville, LA, and Nadine Levy- Stewart (Ronald, Sr.) Vallejo, California, Uncles: Dr. Joseph P. Braud, Sr., Edgar A. Braud, Aunts Geraldine B. Bernard, Mary Ann B. Edwards and Ora Lee H. Ferchaud.\n\nShe is preceded in death by her parents John Alex and Beverly Braud- Ferchaud; brother, John A. Ferchaud, father and mother -in -law: Leo Felix, Sr. and Ruby LeFort- Levy; brother-in-law, Arthur J. Levy, Uncle Lloyd C. Edwards, cousins: Joyce S. Geason, Creighton "Craig" Braud, Dr. Brownsyn Braud, and Kyle Dixon Braud and countless family members not mentioned. \n\nThe Levy and Ferchaud families will celebrate her life along with her friends as well as the Community of St. James and neighboring areas with a Mass of Christian Burial for 11:00am on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at St. James Catholic Church, 6613 LA-18, Saint James, LA 70086.
