James Clifford "Skeet" Morrison Jr. Obituary (1961 - 2022)

James Morrison, Jr. 61, of LaPlace, Louisiana passed away on December 12, 2022, after being struck by a vehicle. Mr. James Morrison, Jr. was born August 27, 1961, in Nyack, NY to Hildagarde Wilkins and James Morrison, Sr. He attended Teaneck High School and then served in the United States Army. James was extremely industrious, always hardworking, and lending a helping hand to neighbors, strangers, friends, and family. He was known as a Master Landscaper and received several certifications in operating large machines. An avid athlete as a youth, James enjoyed watching all sports and spending time with friends and family. He had a keen sense of humor and loved making people laugh. James had a heart of gold and never met a stranger. He was loved deeply by everyone he knew. Affectionately known to family and friends as Skeet, he leaves behind his mother, Hildagarde Wilkins, his father James Clifford Morrison Sr. (Helen), his son James Louison, and his sisters Tammie Brown (Clifford), Jill Morrison. Nieces Dara and Jada Brown and special friends Frankie Dukes and Harvey James and a host of other extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Hazel Moore, and James and Myrtle Morrison and stepfather, Joseph Wilkins. Skeet loved the Lord and is now at Peace with our Heavenly Father. A Memorial Service will be held at Metropolitan Funeral Home, Norfolk, VA on Jan. 21st, 2023.
