Jerome "Baby J/Rome" Cunningham Jr.

Jerome Cunningham Jr., affectionally known as "ROME" and "Baby J", was called home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 27, 2022.

Jerome was born on July 2, 2002, to the union of Alice D. and Jerome Cunningham Sr. He was a native of Hahnville, Louisiana. He was a 2020 graduate of Hahnville High School.

Jerome leaves a legacy of sweet, loving memories to his parents: Alice and Jerome Cunningham Sr.; siblings: Marquell Stewart Sr., (Quanta), Amanda C. Hodges (Marcus), Anthony J Cannon Jr.; nieces and nephews: Marquell Stewart Jr., Tre Stewart, Madison Scott, Amani Macon, Ava Hodges, Marcus Hodges Jr.; great niece Sevyn Stewart; aunts: Tyrell D. Cornwell (John), Veronica Kennard, Jewel Ann Johnson (Larry), Lorna Gros, and Sharon Gros; uncles: Cornelius J. Darensbourg Sr., (Terri Lynn),. Barry Bartley, Lloyd Bartley (Debra), Roland Bartley (Barbara Ann), Kenneth Bartley (Jackie), Dale Cunningham (Eva), and Alvin Aubert (Deanna); great aunts: Bessie St. Amant and Lily Darensbourg; Godfather, James Adams; Godmother, Jennifer Johnson; and a host of cousins and friends.

Jerome was preceded in death by his grandparents: Fellman and Audrey Darensbourg, Mary Cunningham and Valry Gros; great-aunt: Genevia Mayberry; and uncles: Bruce Jackson and Calvin Aubert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1 Rectory Lane, Hahnville, LA 70057, on Thursday, August 4, 2022. Visitation 9am-11am. Mass will begin at 11am. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cemetery, 16879 River Road, Taft, LA.
