Joanne Theresa Dunn

Joanne (Girl) Cook Dunn departed this life on May 10. 2018 at the age of 80. She was born in New Orleans, LA to the late Clarence Cook and Mary Perrilloux Cook. She was married to the late Lester Dunn, Sr and from this union, they were blessed with four children. She leaves to mourn her children, Karen (Steven) Ellis, LaPlace, LA, Lester (Cynthia) Dunn, Trussville, AL, James Dunn, Garyville, LA and Leslie Dunn (Christopher), LaPlace, LA, 11 grandchildren, eight greatgrandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Mary P. Cook, her husband, Lester Dunn, Sr. and her brothers, Clarence Cook, Jr. and Donald Cook. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 529 West Fifth St., LaPlace, LA 70068 for 11:00AM. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 am until service time. Interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace, LA.
