John 14:1-3\n\nOur beloved John, affectionately known as Micheal, quietly slipped away from us and departed his earthly home on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the age of 74. The love of Jesus gently delivered him from all sickness and took him home, where there shall be no more pain and suffering.\n\nMicheal was born on January 25, 1947 to the late Alfred, Sr. and Bernadette Jeffery. Micheal was married to Laverne Williams Jeffery and from this union was born two sons, John Micheal Jeffery, Jr. and Brad Martin Jeffery.\n\nMicheal was educated at Magnolia High School and worked at Cazenave Motors for many years. He later moved on to Kaiser Aluminum where he retired after 38 years.\n\nMicheal lived his life quietly. He had a love for the Saints, liked to joy ride, and enjoyed watching his favorite tv shows, Sanford and Son and Westerns.\n\nMicheal's memories will be kept in the hearts of his wife, Laverne W. Jeffery; children, John, Jr. (Keisler) and Brad (Anitra); sister, Audrey J. Keller; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a devoted friend and coworker, James Miller, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.\n\nMicheal was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Bernadette Jeffery; brothers and sister: Royan, Raymond, Earl, Warren, Alfred, Jr., and Dolores Jeffery; nieces, Karla Jeffery and Ericka Pullman; great nephew, Jarren Keller, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.\n\nA Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at St. Philip Catholic Church, 1175 LA-18, Vacherie, LA 70090 at 1pm. Visitation from 11am-1pm. Interment to follow at St. Philip Catholic Church Cemetery.
