John Lemieux

John "Two" Truman Lemieux was born on April 19, 1957, to the union of the late Allen Lemieux Sr. and Louanna Steib Lemieux. He passed away on April 6, 2023, at AMG Specialty Hospital.

John was baptized at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, graduated from Saint James High School, and was raised to adulthood in Vacherie.

John worked as a delivery man for Miller Beer Southern Distributorship, and later on as a Laborer-Roustabout at Avondale Shipyards.

John was an avid fisherman, took pride in knowing how to speak creole french, and also enjoyed playing cards, shooting pool, dominos, watching sports, and a cold beer with friends.

John leaves to cherish his memory two brothers: Stephen Joseph Lemieux, Allen (Stephanie) Lemieux Jr ; one nephew: Stephen Jr. and a host of cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 13281 LA-644, Vacherie, LA 70090 on Saturday, April 15, 2023. Fr. Matthew McCaughey, celebrant. Visitation will be from 9 am until 11 am. Mass will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church Cemetery. Final care and professional services have been entrusted to Treasures of Life Funeral Services, 315 E Airline Hwy, Gramercy, LA 70052.
