Jonas, a lifelong resident of Vacherie Louisiana, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 16, 2022 at the young age of 42. He was born on June 9, 1980 to the union of the late John Williams and Merita Stewart Williams in New Orleans, Louisiana.\n\nEveryone who knew Jonas felt his big heart and giving nature. Jonas was baptized on Easter Sunday morning in 1990 (along with his sister Picola) at First Baptist Church by the late Rev. L.R. Garrett. He was employed at St. James Marine in Vacherie, Louisiana. He will be sorely missed especially by his (dream come true) one and only daughter Zy'Asia.\n\nJonas is survived by his loving and extremely devoted partner and the love of his life, Fallon Harry; loving daughter Zy'Asia Lucy Marie Williams and one bonus son, Zy'Shonne Harry; his loving and supportive mother, Merita Stewart Victorian and his bonus father, Raymond Victorian; 2 loving sisters, Picola Williams and Gabrielle Dupard Jack; 3 devoted brothers, Rashaad Michael Williams, Kentrell Dupard and Terrence Dupard, caring Godparents Sharon (Renee) Stevenson and Jerome (Jo-Jo) Adams, Jr. all of Vacherie, Louisiana; along with many adoring aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. Jonas was also the doting Godfather of Najee Davis and Charles Anderson, Jr. \n\nJonas was preceded in death by his father, John, and grandparents Leroy and Viola Williams; Rev. Morris Stewart, Sr. and Celestine J. Stewart, and his older brother, Eric Stewart.\n\nA celebration of the life Jonas Lee Williams will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 8103 Mt. Calvary Street, Saint James, LA 70086. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., with services following at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Samuel Jones, Officiating.
