JOYCE ANN OUBRE PHILIPS Obituary (1933 - 2017)

Joyce Oubre Philips, a homemaker, native and resident of Vacherie, LA., passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 5, 2017. She was 83 years old. She leaves to cherish her memories, four children; Rhoda Johnson, Kevin & Tracy Philips, and Simone(Gary)Davis; sister, Maxine O. Anderson and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by husband, Paul Martin Philips; parents, Walter Sr. and Ollie Oubre; sisters Nelva and Ursline; brothers Walter Jr., Paul Ergan, Floyd and Donald; and great grandson Zhane Elijah. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 8:00am -11:00am, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 13281 Hwy 644, Vacherie, LA. Father Michael Micelli and Father Matthew McCaughey, celebrants. Interment church cemetery.
