Juanita "Cooter" Leblanc (Smith) Obituary (1951 - 2021)

Juanita S. LeBlanc passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the age of 69, surrounded by her loving husband, daughter, and grandchildren. She was born in Anguilla, MS on July 21, 1951 to the union of the late Lee Gilbert Williams and Missouri Smith Nelson. Juanita accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was baptized at Hill Baptist Church in MS. She was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, pastored by Gary Bolden in Mt. Airy, LA. Juanita graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1969, in New Orleans, Louisiana. For many years she was employed with the dietary department at Charity Hospital and Riverland Country Club. Juanita was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed life, spending time with family and friends, going to parties, and cooking. To know her was to love her. She had a gracious spirit, a beautiful soul, a giving heart, and a laugh that could brighten your day. Left to cherish her precious memories are her husband of 40 years, Roland LeBlanc; one daughter, Sandra LeBlanc; grandchildren, Brandon LeBlanc, Paul, Kieron, and Brittney Young; four great-grandchildren; sister, Sylvia Miles; brother Roger Lee; sister-in-law, Patricia L. Williams; brother-in-law, Morris LeBlanc; three Godchildren, Sean LeBlanc, Ashley August, and Carlon Smith; devoted nephew, TyJai Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A public walk-through visitation will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Treasure of Life, 315 E. Airline Hwy. Gramercy, LA from 5pm-7pm. Services to celebrate Juanita's life will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Mt. Airy, Louisiana. Pastor Gary Bolden officiating. Visitation period will be held from 10am -11am. Funeral service will begin at 11am. Final viewing will be after the service is completed. Interment to follow at St. John Memorial Gardens, 2205 W.
