Katherine Tillman Davis transitioned to her heavenly home on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at the age of 95.\n\nShe was the wife of the late Joseph Davis, Sr., and from this union, four children were born: Joseph Davis Sr., Charles Davis Sr., Larry Davis, and the late Dorothy Lee Davis. She was also the devoted mother of Willie Earl Brown.\n\nKatherine lived an abundant life outside of raising her children, which brought her the most joy. She was an expert at sewing and designing her own beautiful clothes, hats, and accessories.\nOnce her children were well established, she pursued her educational goals and became a high school graduate in 1972. After graduation, she worked for Continental Airlines, retiring in 1990.\n\nShe began her Christian Journey, at an early age and was a faithful servant at the Oakland Baptist Church, under the divine leadership of the late Rev. A. P. Clay and Rev. Charles Hurst. She furthered her Christian studies at the Christian Bible College under the auspices of the late Rev. A. P. Clay. She loved speaking and teaching God's Word not only at Oakland Baptist Church but churches across the Greater New Orleans area.\n\nSis. Davis was a devoted Servant of Christ, continuing to serve on the Deaconess Board until her eternal transition. One of her favorite scriptures was Isaiah 40:31: "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up on wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."\n\nWell done thy good and faithful servant. You have fought a good fight; you have finished the course and kept the faith. Henceforth, there is laid a crown of righteous, which the Lord, the righteous Judge will give to you on that day, and not only to you but also to all who have loved His appearing.\n\nLeft to cherish her fond memories and to continue her legacy are her children: Willie Earl Brown, Joseph Davis Sr., Charles Davis Sr., and Larry Davis, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.\n\nTo share condolences and thoughts, and to sign guest book, please visit: www.treasurefunerals.com Final care entrusted to Treasures of Life Funeral Services, 315 E.
