Kathleen "Honey" Batiste

Kathleen 'Honey' 'Kitten' Batiste a retired employee of St. James Parish entered into eternal life on Sunday, March 6, 2016. She was 69 years old; a native and resident of Vacherie, LA. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Leotha Williams Dillon and wife of the late Ronald J. Batiste. She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters Lovenzell Trench (Renildo) and LaCarmen Batiste, nephew Aaron Lewis and niece, Cynthia Arnold whom she reared. Siblings: Carol D. Armant, Warren Dillon, Donna D. Webb, Alvin Dillon (Chandra), Yolanda Lemieux; sister in law Betty Gibson , four grandchildren: Jhayce and Jhia Trench, Keeva Schexnayder and Kavon Arnold. Preceded in death by siblings: Sarah Lewis, Audrey Harrison, Langford Anderson and Ronald Dillon. She is also survived by a host of other relatives, acquaintances, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, former employees of St. James Parish Youth Detention Center, St. James Parish Hospital, SCI, Dow Chemical Plant, members of First Baptist Church, Greater Woodville Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at First Baptist Church, 1244 Magnolia Heights, Vacherie, LA, Rev. Johnnie B. Magee, Jr. Th.D., Pastor. Viewing will begin at 1:00 pm followed by service at 3:00 pm. Interment at St. Philip Catholic Church Mausoleum. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 6pm -8pm at Treasures of Life-Center for Life Funeral Services, who have been entrusted with her final care. 315 E Airline Hwy., Gramercy, LA 70052.
