LATOYA AKEYA "LULU" STEWART Obituary (1982 - 2017)

"From birth I was cast on you; from my mother's womb, you have been my GOD" Psalm 22:10 On Sunday, February 5, 2017, LaToya Akeya "LuLu" Joseph-Stewart, went home to be with the Lord. She was a life-long resident of Hahnville, Louisiana and a graduate of Hahnville High School, Class of 2001. She leaves a legacy of memories to her husband, Lemond Stewart; Children: Imani, Ja'Kai, and A'Leigha; Step-children: Trevon Issac, Demond, LeMarianne, Navari Stewart, and Omarion Ingram; Step grandchild Winter Issac; Parents: Sybil Burrell Joseph and Larry Joseph; Brother: Marlon (Sharon) Burrell; Sister: Chelsea White; Step-sister: Charisma Bennett; Mother-in-law: Scherline Gilbert-Bailey; Father in law: Joseph Stewart; Sisters-in-law: Takeisha (Torey) Sylvester, Tiffany Stewart, Tara and Krishna Bailey, Sheba Bailey; Brothers-in-law: Demond Stewart and David Bailey; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her Grandparents: Morris and Florence Joseph, Sr., Guy and Corrine Burrell, James and Johnnie Gilbert; Step father-in-law: Joseph Bailey; God-father Wilbert Baptiste. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from Mt. Airy Baptist Church at 11:00am. 13635 Spanish Trail, Boutte, LA. Pastor. Clyde Staes. Visitation from 9:00am until service time; Rev. Charles Johnson of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Boutte, LA will be officiating. Interment at Mt. Zion Garden of Memories Cemetery, Luling, LA.
