Lorraine Wilson

Lorraine Virginia Wilson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She shared a loving union with her devoted lifelong companion, Patrick Morris, and together they built a family filled with love, strength, and memories that will forever be cherished.

Everyone who knew Lorraine knew how much she loved a clean, welcoming, and memorable home. She enjoyed her Kool Long 100’s cigarettes and her 2-liter bottles of Coke. Her favorite sayings were, “Okay Ma,” and “Okay Man.” Whenever any of her children or “Pat” got on her nerves, Lorraine would sit on the side of her bed with her fingers crossed while smoking a cigarette — a memory her family will forever hold close to their hearts.

Lorraine departed this life on May 10, 2026, at the age of 68. She was born on December 16, 1957. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie McQuater and Edna Crowley; her adoptive parents, Dudley and Virginia Wilson; her siblings, Louida and Melvin Wilson; and her two beloved grandchildren, Precious Gray and Kendrick Wilson Jr.

Lorraine leaves to cherish her precious memories her lifelong companion, Patrick Morris; her seven children: Rodney Wilson, Laverne (Anthony) Anderson, Teric Wilson, Shonique (Kennedy) Feist, Kendell (Cierra) Wilson, Keisha (Joshua) Morrissette, and Kendrick Wilson; twenty-one grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one godchild, Teararh Morris; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends who loved her dearly.

Though she is no longer with us physically, Lorraine’s love, laughter, and unforgettable spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at New Zion Christian Center, 216 W. Main Street, Gramercy, LA 70052, on Saturday, May 23, 2026; visitation from 8AM to 10AM followed by the service for 10AM. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church Cemetery,
6476 La 44, Convent, LA 70723.
