Lorraine Marie Young Obituary (1926 - 2017)

Lorraine Roussell Young passed away peacefully at her residence with her family by her side on July 4, 2017. Daughter of the late Marie Louis and Lawrence Roussell. Lorraine was married to the late Ferdinand Young, Sr and to this union were born eleven children, Anna(Gilbert, Sr.) Smith, Patricia(Perry) Joseph, Joyce Pierce, Lonnie Carolyn, Ronald, Sr.(Connie)Young, Sharon Young, the late Ferdinand, Jr, Claude, and Grant Young, Claudia and Rose. She also leaves to cherish her memories her surviving siblings, Shirley Lumar, James Louis, and Ola Mae Joshua, 23 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a hosts of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Lorriane was a retired custodian for the St. John Parish School System where she served faihfully. A very special thank you to Helena Weber for her untiring dedication from beginning to end. The family welcomes all of the neighboring communities and the school system to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, July 8, 2017 for 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2349 Hwy. 18, Edgard, La. Visitation begins at 9:00 a.m. Interment church cemetery.
