I have fought a GOOD fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." \nLuciana "China" McKinney, a resident of LaPlace, Louisiana, departed this life on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at The Carpenter House St. Joseph Hospice. Luciana was born on December 22, 1975 to Cecile and the late Bob C. McKinney Sr. She is the sister of Lorna Smith, Bob C. McKinney Jr., Shawn M. McKinney Sr, and Clarensio Bolden. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. Samuel Jones at Providence #1 Baptist Church, LaPlace, Louisiana. \nShe attended East St. John High School and did not let illness keep her from achieving her General Education Diploma. \nLuciana had a quiet spirit, but she was not shy. She gave a heart-felt smile to every and anybody. She was very independent. Cooking was not her favorite thing, yet she loved to eat, entertain and be entertained especially on holidays and birthdays. Her favorite TV show was Martin. Laughter to her was a great medicine. Laughter and her faith in God helped her as she kept a positive outlook on her life. God's word always lifted her spirit and helped her combat negative emotions, negative people and negative emotions during her illness.\nLuciana leaves to cherish and treasure her mother, Cecile McKinney, her loving and big sister Lorna Smith (Arthur Linton), her caring brothers Bob C.
