Garrett, Lucien R. Garrett Jr. (Man) born August 31,1959. A resident of Vacherie, La. Lucien was the beloved son of Ella M. Garrett and the late Rev. Lucien R. Garrett, Sr. went to be with the Lord on Saturday October 14, 2017 at Thibodaux, La. He accepted Christ at a young age. He was baptized at Pilgrim B.C. where his father was the Pastor. Lucien was a graduate of Alfred E. Smith High School Bronx, New York. He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Ella M. Garrett, 3 sisters Lorena (James) Johnson, Roxie(Robert) Shaw, Carla (Lambert) Phillips, 4 brothers Rodney (Mynette Boudreaux), John Garrett, Brian (Leticia) Garrett, Jay (Cenedra) Garrett. 3 nieces, Eryn (Fred) Gordon, Elysia Garrett, Leona Garrett, 6 nephews, Alex (Alna) Fairley, Robert Shaw IV, DeRaun Garrett, Julien Garret, Bryan Garrett, Brandon Garrett 1 great niece Phoebe Leigh Gordon. 1 adopted sister Susan Bain of Nassau Bahamas, 1 adopted brother Bruno Malapu of Central Africa, 8 aunts, Evelyn (Samuel Hammond) Wiggins, Joyce Kenner, Iris Lassere. Patricia Moses, Hattie Moses, Donna (Anthony) O'Connor, Leona Moses, Bernadine M. Garrett. 1 uncle Matthew Melvin (Janet) Moses. Preceded in death by grandparents Isaac and Winnie Garrett, Honway and Leona Moses, uncles, Isaac (Mary) Garrett, Oscar (Almedga) Garrett and aunts Georgene (Joseph) Cooper, Geraldine (Alton) Smith. Relatives and friends of the family also pastor, officers, and members of First Baptist Church, Highway B.C. and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday October 21,2017 at 11:00am from the First Baptist Church 1244 Magnolia Heights Ave. Vacherie, La.
