Marqual K. Ranton was born June 13, 1997 in Metairie, LA to Tenisha B. Lott and Kenneth J. Ranton. He was educated by the St. Charles Parish School System. His passion was drag racing, shopping for shoes, and family gatherings. He loved joking around with family and friends. He was a true ladies' man. He also loved a home cooked meal with a thirst buster. He was employed at Winn-Dixie in Destrehan, LA.\n\nMarqual leaves to cherish his memory: Mother, Tenisha B. Lott (Kenneth); father, Kenneth J. Ranton (Cornelia) of Laplace, LA; sister, Kyranisha Ranton (D'Vonte); step-brothers, Jeffery Kent, Jakyron Joseph, De'Ante Lebranch and Marceise Moore; step-sisters, Kariane and Kayla Johnson; grandmothers, Barbara Alexander of Reserve, LA and Virgie Ranton of River Ridge, LA; and honorary grandmother, Iceola Butler. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.\n\nHe was proceeded in death by his grandfathers, Horace Ranton and Edward Alexander; aunt, Shalonda Bradley; and sister, Nicole Weber-Ranton. \n\nA celebration of life honoring Marqual will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Sweet Home Christian Center, 434 Jackson St., Kenner, LA. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The services will begin at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at the Belle Grove Cemetery, 400 Decatur St., Kenner, LA.
