MARVA ANN JACKSON Obituary (1954 - 2016)

Marva Ann Jackson transitioned to her heavenly home on August 22, 2016 at University Hospital, New Orleans, LA. Beloved daughter of the late Frank and Elsie Dee Veronica Jackson. A native of Wallace, resident of Laplace, LA. Devoted mother of Murphy "Boo" Jackson III, Liza Jackson and LaTricia "Trish" Jackson. Marva was known as a friendly, affectionate person who always smiled and loved to dance. She was a dedicated employee of Office for Citizens of Developmental Disabilities in Houma LA. for over 24 years and even on her job, she was always a representative of the Lord. She also leaves to cherish her memories; brothers, Antoine Jackson (Kenner LA.) Michael Jackson (Oakland, CA), and Frank Jackson, Jr. (Hahnville, LA.); sisters, Laverne Jackson (Los Angeles, CA), Angela Stipe (San Diego, CA) grandchildren, Allen Harris, Meagan Jackson, Sanaa & Sayben Dukes, former husband Murphy Jackson, Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A celebration of life will be held for 10:00am on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at New Wine Christian Fellowship Church, 1929 W. Airline Hwy, LaPlace, LA 70068. Pastor Neil Bernard, officiant. Visitation from 8:00am until service time. Final viewing immediately prior to service. Interment at Woodville Baptist Church Cemetery, Wallace, LA. Treasures of Life, Center for Life Funeral Service trusted with her final care. Repast to follow at New Wine Christian Fellowship Multipurpose Center.
