Vacherie, Louisiana
Maud Ann Harry, also known as "Maudie", was a native and resident of Vacherie (Harrytown Lane, in which she drew up the petition to change the street name from Gum St).
Maud was born to the union of Ernest Joseph and Rose Mary Jessie Harry on October 16, 1958. She was the third daughter and fifth child out of ten.
Maud was a workaholic in the Security field until her health deeply declined. On her job site, she was known has "Top Cop" and was loved by all. Maud was truly dedicated to all her endeavors. She was a major Miami Dolphins fan. Her music icon was Whitney Houston. She loved fast cars (Mustangs), and her favorite saying was "This too shall pass". She adored her two Godchildren: Elise Keller Johnson (Nukie) and Shaquille Jordan Dontae' Harry (Do).
Left to cherish Maud's precious memories are her brothers: Raymond (Floretta), Elton Joseph, Paul Anthony, and Stephen Mark Harry all of Vacherie, Eddie (Denise) of Texas, and Clarence (Theresa) of Slidell; sisters: Catherine Lacey (major caregiver), and Leslie (Elwood) Keller of Vacherie, and Kathleen (the late Netter Jr.) of Saint James; along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Special thanks to Acadian Ambulance, Chateau D'Ville Rehab and Retirement Facility, Cardinal Hospice, Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center (Baton Rouge), SAGE Rehabilitation Hospital, St. James Parish Hospital, St. Joseph Hospice (The Carpenter House), and United Medical Rehabilitation Hospital.
