So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord"\n\nAfter a fulfilling life journey, Patrice Lasharn "Coodie" King has entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at the age of 48. Patrice was born on January 14, 1974, to Isaiah Telfair and the late Theliah Mae King. Patrice was the baby of the family, and to her siblings she was the Princess. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by her uncle the late Pastor Ernest Taylor at The Greater New Plymouth Rock Baptist Church. She graduated from East St. John High School Class of 1992. For 23 years, Patrice worked as a Certified Nursing Supervisor at Ormond Nursing and Care Center. Even though she didn't have any kids of her own she was a dedicated aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Patrice was a devoted little sister to all her siblings. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.\n\nPatrice leaves to cherish her memories her father, Isaiah Telfair; two Godchildren, Kaijha LaBranch and Cor'Yae Posey; her siblings, Isaac and Carl King, Demetris Craighead, Debra McQuater, and Renell Mauel; her nieces and nephews (her kids), Isaac Jr, Ashia, Chakira, Terrell, Renaldo, Renata, Felicia, Destiny, Cole, Howard, Sameka, Chordata, Davarian, Charles III, Tremand, Renesha, and Jarvun; three uncles, Thomas Foster, Manuel King, and Ervin Foster; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.\n\nPatrice was preceded in death by her mother, Theliah Mae King; her grandmother, Beulah Mae King; her brother, Kerry King; aunt, Katherine King-Foster; uncles, David King, Johnny King, Larry King and Edward King; sister-in-law, Cynthia James; and brother-in-law, Howard Craighead Jr.\n\n\nFuneral services for Patrice Lasharn "Coodie" King will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at The Greater New Plymouth Rock Baptist Church, 110 NW 13th ST, Reserve, LA. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. The services will begin at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at the Zion Travelers Baptist Church Cemetery on Marathon Ave, Reserve, LA.
