Ron Jesse "Pops" Wilson Sr. Obituary (1973 - 2022)

My beloved husband of 26 years, my only baby daddy, My God ordained match and companion, my friend that I told EVERYTHING to. EVERYTHING.... left me on March 8,2022 at our home. Ron Jesse Wilson Sr., a retired plant worker and a deep-rooted native of Laplace, Louisiana answered The Call from our Heavenly Father! When God called Ron, he said "YES". Yes, to the only other LOVE that our sons and I know about. The love from one dad to another! Our heavenly father called my husband and Ron said, "YES"! YES, to The Greatest Love, our first LOVE! JESUS!! Ron said "YES" to The Love of his life, and I had to let him go! John 3:16-17 Ron Jesse Wilson, Sr. was born on April 28, 1973, to the late Ignatius Wilson, Sr. and Audrey Anderson Wilson. Ron accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was baptized at Beech Grove Baptist Church. Ron Jesse Wilson, Sr. was joined in holy matrimony to LaRhonda Gaines on June 24, 1995, and from that blessed union there were three sons: Ron Wilson, Jr., ZyRon Wilson and Ronde' Wilson. He was preceded in death by his father Ignatius Wilson Sr; mother Audrey Anderson Wilson; brother Ignatius Wilson, Jr.; father-n-law Ferdinand Gaines, Sr.; mother-n-law Mary Young Gaines; brothers-n-law Rev. Ferdinand Gaines, Jr. and Paul Anthony Young, Sr.; maternal grandparents Felicia Creecy Anderson and Freedie Lee Anderson (Boota); paternal grandparents Willie Wilson Sr and Vivian B. Wilson, Victoria W. Charles (Joe), Willie Wilson Jr. (Elnora) and Donald Ray Wilson (Geraldine). Ron Jesse Wilson, Sr. leaves to cherish his memories his wife, LaRhonda; his three sons: Ron Jr., ZyRon and Ronde'; brother, Keith Anthony Wilson Sr. (Allana); uncle, Leonard Wilson, Sr. (Viola); 4 sisters-n-law, Lavater Young, Bertha Anderson (Darwin), Rose Scott (Eldrin), and Vernamae Hardy; 4 aunts, Anita Clement (Willie), Brenda Exum (Dori), Freddie Lee Brown, and Elise Perriloux; 3 uncles Randolph Anderson (Betsy), Clayton Anderson and Octave Anderson (Karen), and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. A celebration of life honoring Ron Jesse Wilson, Sr. is scheduled for 11am on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at First Community Antioch Baptist Church, 10860 LA-3125, Lutcher, LA 70071.
